What does the kitchen include?

All brand-new stainless-steel appliances: refrigerator, wall oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee-maker, dishwasher and induction cooktop.

The kitchen is fully-equipped with pots, pans, plates, silverware, cups, glasses, etc.

As a courtesy you will also find coffee, sugar, salt and pepper.

Is there a washer and dryer?

Yes, a full-size front-load Samsung electric washer and gas dryer are located in the laundry room. ​A laundry sink is also available.

Booking
Is there a booking age requirement?

Yes, the booking guest must be at least 25 years of age.

What is the maximum occupancy?

The maximum occupancy is 5 people.

What is the minimum booking reservation?

The minimum stay is 7 days.

Do I need a government issued-ID or passport to book my stay?

Yes, a driver’s license or state/country issued ID must be provided at the time of booking and must be presented upon check-in.

Can I add someone to my trip after I have gone through the booking process?

Yes, you may add additional guests to your booking as long as your party does not exceed the maximum capacity of five people. Please contact us to add guests to your reservation.

Is it possible to check-in or check-out at a different time?

It is our goal to accommodate your needs as much as we possibly can. This will be determined on a case by case basis. Please communicate with us regarding any special requests.

When will my deposit be refunded?

Our goal is to release your deposit in full as soon as possible after you check-out. A complete apartment assessment will be conducted after check out and compared against the assessment made before the arrival of each guest. If no damages or violations apply then your full deposit will be refunded within 24hrs after check-out. If damage is found or if House Rules have been disregarded, a claim/report will be sent to the booking guest after check-out and any remaining balance will be refunded.
Property
Is there a place to park my car near the property?

Yes, we offer FREE and safe underground parking. For your safety and convenience only guests with an electronic garage opener will be able to access the garage. This must be requested before your arrival.

Will someone come to clean the apartment during my stay?

Our Agape Andino trusted cleaning team is at your service if needed. We recommend at least one cleaning session per week if you choose the weekly or monthly stay option. The cost ranges between $40 and $50 USD, depending on the number of people in your party.

Is smoking allowed?

No, smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited.
​
Is there security on the premises?​

Yes, there is a guard in the lobby 24/7 and cameras throughout the building including the underground garage.

A security camera is also located at the front door and hallway entry.

How big is the apartment + balcony?

162 square meters (roughly 1,750 square feet).

What type of flooring do you have in Agape Andino?

We do not have carpet… for sanitary reasons. We have tile in the living areas and bathrooms and wood floors in all bedrooms and hallway. Please do not drag luggage wheels on wood floors. Help us protect our beautiful wood floors by carrying the luggage to the desired bedroom location.
Transportation
​What is the best way to get to Cuenca?
There are several ways to get to Cuenca:

Fly to Quito (Mariscal Sucre Quito International Airport) and take a connecting flight to Cuenca (Aeropuerto Mariscal Lamar)

Fly to Guayaquil (José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport) and take a connecting flight to Cuenca (Aeropuerto Mariscal Lamar)

Fly to Guayaquil (José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport) and take a bus to Cuenca. The trip is about 3 hours long through the mountains and scenic routes.

What is the best way to move around Cuenca?

​Taxis are the easiest and more direct way to move around the city. While buses and the Tranvía are also an option, their routes can be limited. See our Transportation page for more information.

How far is the apartment from Centro Historico?

​We are located about 10 minutes away from Centro Historico and all the colonial buildings and plazas. The easiest way to get there would be to take a taxi, the rate is around $2.50 - $3.00 USD.
​
If I’m driving my own car, is there parking available in Centro Historico?
-
Yes, if you are renting a car, there are several parking garages throughout Centro Historico and the city. The rate is relatively inexpensive, for a few hours it might be $1.00 to $5.00 USD max. depending on the duration of your stay.

There is also street parking available in designated streets, you will need to purchase a parking voucher (worth $1.00 USD) found in many stores around the city. Don’t forget to leave the voucher on your dashboard.

Is it possible to rent a car in Cuenca*?

Yes, the typical rental rates may vary throughout the year, they can start at $30.00 USD per day for compact cars and around $150.00 USD per day for SUV’s and larger vehicles. Most popular rental car models are stick shift (manual) but there are some Automatic models as well, usually at higher rental rates.

Guest Service Policies
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Our refund policy is as follows:
-
Full Refund - You may cancel your reservation without penalty within 48 hours of receiving our confirmation via email.

Partial Refund - If cancellation occurs at least 25 days before your check-in day, you will be refunded 50% of your paid reservation fee + full deposit amount.
-
No Refund - If cancellation occurs within 24 days of your check-in day, you will receive a travel credit valid for one year (365 days) from the time of your cancellation. Credit is applicable towards the cost of your next accommodation at the time of your reservation, dates subject to availability. A full refund of your security deposit will be processed.

What is your pet policy?

No animals are allowed. Violation of this rule will result in immediate termination of your stay and forfeiture of your deposit.
